How to control the Model View of your Electrical Components

 You can open the “Model View Options” from Document/Model View/ Model View Options as follows:

You can set the model view option to show the model as standard or detailed. Also, you can set the symbol as a plate or module.

A component does not inherently have a plate, nor does a plate have components – the two have to be linked by the add-on – but the add-on has to maintain an illusion that they are the same thing. From Model View Options, you are able to switch between a plate and component. For example, if the Model View Options are set to show plates, the add-on has to ensure the components cannot be selected.
