4.3.2 How to manually attach a recipe to an element

Continue from the steps in section 4.3.1. The steps are numbered in the following illustration:

1. Place and select some chairs in the floor plan.
2. If the Quantity Info palette is not already visible, show it by clicking the menu CI Tools > Quantities > Quantities Take-off Palette…
   
   Click the Live edit checkbox if it isn’t already ticked.
3. Click the add button () at the base of the recipes panel
4. Select your new recipe from the list and click OK

The recipe is now attached to the selected elements and will display in the palette whenever one of them is selected. Refer to section 2.3, Managing Quantity Traits for more detailed information about attaching recipes to elements.
