How to Adjust Roof Covering Edge Angles

Each edge of an Archicad Roof can be either vertical, perpendicular to the roof surface, or set at a custom angle.

These roof angles can also be applied to the associated Roof Covering.

1. Select a Roof Covering, and open its Settings dialog.

   

2. On the Configuration page, set Roof Polygon Edges > Angles to Match Roof Edges. The roof covering will take the edge angles of the roof.

This is particularly useful when modelling an asymmetric roof, where roofs of different pitch meet at a ridge line.

It can also be useful for square stopped rafter construction.
