Roof coverings are made up of several components:
- Cladding
- Framing (i.e. purlins or battens)
- Flashings
- Edge boards (i.e. fascias and barge boards)
- Soffits
- Gutters
- Downpipes
- Gable end cladding
- Frieze & finial
In any given view, you may want to display all or only a subset of these components. For instance, in a plan view it's usually not helpful to display edge boards or framing. In a 3D view it may also be unhelpful to display framing.
The Model View Options (MVO) settings for the Ci Tools Coverings library provide controls to show/hide each of these components.
There's also a general control to draw the roof covering in a generic or detailed mode. The generic mode reduces the polygon count, so it's a good option for all but presentation views.
For migration purposes, you can choose to override the MVO settings for plan view. In this case the framing is not shown, and visibility of components is controlled in the Settings dialog under Display Options > Symbol.
