Set fascia and barge board thickness, width and offsets, in the Roof Covering's Settings dialog under Edge Boards.
If all the edge boards are vertical, you can just enter the dimensions directly. However, if the edge boards are all at different angles, you might want to consider how best to represent them.
To draw non-vertical edge boards, you need to first set Roof Polygon Edges > Angles to Match Roof Edges on the Configuration page of the Settings dialog.
Having done so, on the Edge Boards page you can set the Board Width to one of these options:
- Measure vertically
- Measure perpendicular to the roof surface
- As entered
- Roof thickness + framing
Choose As entered if you want all the fascia and barge boards to remain the exact same width that you entered, no matter what angle they are to the roof plane. This can result in a mismatch where two edge boards meet.
Choose Measure vertically if most of the boards are vertical, and a few are at a different angle from the roof plane. In this case the width of non-vertical boards will be adjusted to visually match the other boards.
Choose Measure perpendicular to roof surface if most of the boards are perpendicular to the roof surface. In this case the width of non-perpendicular boards will be adjusted to visually match the other boards.
Choose Roof thickness + framing if you want the fascia to match the roof and purlin/batten thickness. Soffits will be placed to the roof base, and edge boards will extend by a given margin below the roof base.
