Considerations for Coverings in Archicad 27

Design options

Please note that when working with design options that, due to some restrictions within Archicad any Covering that is applied, will not automatically inherit the Design option of the parent geometry, such as a Wall in the case of Wall Coverings.

When a for instance a Wall Covering is applied, it is important to ensure that Design Option is also set to the correct value.

Dynamic Editing Guides and Coverings

Please note that when using the Dynamic Editing guides to move any Elements that have Coverings applied, such as in the image below:

It is necessary to Update Coverings after moving the Element, the Covering will remain in its original position until it has been updated, see image below.

By clicking the Update Coverings in the CI Tools Menu, the Geometry will update to the new position.
