During the modelling and construction of a BIM Project, there are going to be several situations when you need to extract quantities from your model, such as:

Gross area analysis at the start of a project

Providing a list of spaces or supplies

Quantity surveying for contract packages or tendering design

Verifying the content of the BIM model

Coordinating quantities and masses on site
The Information Takeoff view is located in the Information Takeoff layout. The view includes a table of data and tools for ITO handling.
To create your custom Information Takeoff, click on the White Paper + Icon highlighted below:
Under the "Components" area, you will add rows to filter which components should take part in your ITO. In the following example, we are taking off information from structural elements, so each component was added with its Load Bearing property:
Under "Tasks", you can add a few tasks that should happen before taking off information:
On the schedule, you can insert and remove columns to determine which information should be taken off:
As an example, you could select a property to appear on the schedule, such as Building Material:
Once all the columns are correct, click on Takeoff All:
To save this list, click on Report and Save Report:
To save the ITO template, so you can use in other projects, click in the icon highlighted below:
