In a BIM project, optimal communication involves leveraging IFC models for assessment and BCF files for streamlined correspondence. Archicad offers a seamless process, enabling the creation of issues within both Archicad Models and BIMx Files. Once these issues are pinpointed, exporting them into a .bcf format allows for easy integration with Solibri alongside the IFC files. This streamlined workflow facilitates the generation of comprehensive reports swiftly, requiring only a few simple clicks.
- In Archicad, use the Issue Organizer (Document > Issue Organizer). Once the issues have been created, export them:
- Remember to tick the option "Use External IFC ID where available" so other applications may recognise which components are associated with the issue:
- In Solibri, open your IFC file and under Communication> New Presentation > From .Bcf File:
- Now you can have someone collaborating with you using Solibri Office or even Solibri Anywhere. In Solibri, the other user will be able to visualize the issues, comment, assign or even change the status
- After the collaboration in Solibri is done, the changes can be saved by clicking on "Report" and imported again to Archicad as a .BCF file:
