Graphisoft has recently launched a new Cloud Licensing system to enhance flexibility and usability for its users, reducing the possibility of key damage. Cloud licensing differs from Software Licensing methods, offering several advantages. This Article describes the key features of Cloud Licensing for Archicad.
Cloud License Management
Users do not have to Download or insert any keys for Cloud Licenses. Simply log into Archicad using a Graphisoft ID, and assigned licenses will activate.
Floating Licenses:
Cloud Licenses can be Named or Floating:
Named licenses are assigned to specific users.
Floating licenses allow licenses to be used on demand without assigning them to specific users. A cloud license becomes a floating license if assigned to a Group in the Graphisoft Company Pool.
Cloud Licenses allow 7 days of offline usage. After 7 days users need to verify their license, which requires internet connection.
Remote Release:
Cloud Licenses can be used on one device at a time only, but can be virtually released from one computer and activated on another over the internet.
This means users can switch between different devices without needing to Upload and Download licenses manually using the License Manager Tool.
Compatibility:
Archicad Cloud licenses support Archicad 26 and later Archicad versions. To use earlier versions of Archicad, a compatibility license is required.
