If you want to define customised settings for your Keynotes schedules so that you don't have to make changes to each one after placing it, you can use Master Schedules to set and enforce the schedule settings that should be used on all your schedules
- First, open the Master layout that you want to use. All layouts which use this master will inherit the Schedule Settings you specify here.
i.e.
(You can add them to other masters as well later, but we need to start somewhere) - Using the Object tool, find the Keynotes schedule object - it is in the Ci Tools Library folder, under Keynotes:
- Set the settings in this object to what you want to use - i.e. define the pens, fonts, font sizes etc... and then Place the object down on the master layout wherever you want it to be placed on your sheets
Note: it's a good idea to place it on the Archicad layer so that you don't need to worry about remembering what layer it's on - Once it's placed, select the object and re-open the settings, and tick the Hide the Schedule box here:
and then click OK
(this just hides the schedule so that it won't show up on any layouts that you don't place schedules on) - Repeat the same process for any other Master Layouts that you want to have inheritable Keynote Schedule settings (or simply copy and paste the object you just placed, if you want other sheets to have the same settings)
Now that we have set our desired default settings, we can create some schedules:
- Open the layout that you want to create a schedule on, and click on the CI Tools menu - Keynotes - Create Schedule
- Set the schedule settings as you like, and then to tell it to use the master settings we have just defined, make sure you select the option to Apply Settings Of the schedule on the master layout
- Hit OK and your schedule will be placed, using the settings you specified on the Master
Optionally - If you want to Sync changes made to your master, you can do that too - i.e. you can make a change to the settings on the Master, and then after running an update, have those settings filter through to all your already-placed schedules
To do that, make sure you set the Apply Settings on Update on in the schedule settings (it should be on by default)
When that option is turned on, you will notice that all other settings are Greyed Out:
This is because they are all being defined by your Master now, so can't be manually overridden here, unless you turn the option to apply on update back Off again
