With the Live Edit Switched off we are able to use the Metadata Tool to transfer Properties from one Element to another in the following way. Ensure that Live Edit is switch off as shown below.
If we then select any Element the list will not automatically populate as is the case when we have Live Edit on.
We can then utilise the Eye Dropper tool to fetch the Properties of a selected Element, or multiple elements. We will select the Slab in our Example and add it’s properties with the Eye Dropper.
We can see that the Combustibility is set to True.
It is no possible to delete the properties that we do not wish to use, cange any of the ones in our selected ‘basket’ of Properties.
We will leave only the Combustibility and the Fire Rating Property, with an altered value (We simply select the Properties we don’t want to transfer and click the X to delete).
We will no proceed to change the Fire Rating
We can now select any Element and transfer the Properties, if those Properties are present in that Element. Please note this can be edited in Archicad’s Property Manager.
We select the Element that we ant to transfer the Properties to and Click the inject button
We can see the Properties have been adjusted in the selected wall Element.
