Create a Custom Cabinet Front
To create a custom cabinet front:
- Model the door/drawer-front/end-panel lying flat in plan-view. Set the width and height of the front correctly. If you intend to use different sizes of the same front style, model each one and save it as a separate Cabinet Door. The front can be stretched to fit, but it will distort in the process.
Remember to set the surface for each building element that you use.
- From the File menu, choose Libraries and Objects > Save Selection As > Cabinet Door.
Make it Available for Use
To use a custom cabinet front:
- Create the front as described above.
- Open the Settings dialog of the cabinet object.
- On the Modules > Available Fronts page:
- Use the + button to add a new front.
- Give it a Name.
- Set the Style to Custom Cabinet Door, and choose the new custom cabinet doors from the list.
Use it
Having created a custom cabinet front, and added it to the list of available fronts, you can now use it in selected modules of the cabinet.
- On the Modules page, select any modules to which the new front should be applied.
- Choose the new Front from the list.
- Click OK to apply the settings.
Share it
To share the new front:
- Select a cabinet that uses the custom front, and open its Settings dialog.
- On the Available Fronts page, click the Copy button.
- Click OK to close the dialog.
- Select any other cabinet in which you wish to use the custom front, and open its Settings dialog.
- On the Available Fronts page, click the Paste button. The custom front will be added to the list, and is ready to use within the selected cabinet.
