5.2 Scheduling Quantities

Scheduled quantities are viewed in the Bill of Quantities palette, which can be opened by clicking the menu item CI Tools > Quantities > Bill of Quantities Palette. The Quantities Info palette also displays an icon to quickly open palette and automatically schedule the current selection ().

The key features of the palette are:

1. A view of the entire bill structure.

   1. The bill structure is filtered to display only item names containing text in this field.

   2. A list of the entire bill structure.

2. Controls for the scope of the schedule calculation and interaction with the bill content. Item 2e opens the Quantity Take-off Manager at the Bill Structure tab.

3. The scheduled bill.

4. Filtering controls for the scheduled bill. Item 4c displays the total cost. Item 4b allows the scheduled quantities to be manually edited – this functionality has been requested for some narrow purposes but is not a generally recommended option.
