Configuration
On the Configuration page, set the basic structure of the cabinet.
- Set the overall dimensions of the Carcass.
- Choose a Face Frame construction method from the list.
- Choose a Plinth type from the list.
- Choose Surfaces for the face frame, carcass, plinth and legs.
The cabinet has three vertical dimensions (C total height, D carcass height and E plinth height) that are inter-related. In the field directly below the Shape settings, choose which one should remain fixed when editing the other two. In the illustration above, the carcass height D is locked, so changing C total height will result in the plinth height updating.
Click on the navigation buttons to further edit the cabinet’s structure.
Face
Depending on the Face Frame type you set on the Configuration page, set various dimensions for the cabinet’s face construction on the Configuration > Face page.
Face Frame set to Frameless
Frame
Choose the face frame type, and set dimensions for a top rail depth A and thickness T.
Fronts
Set offsets for the cabinet fronts (e.g. drawer fronts and doors). Dimensions include offsets from the edges (A, C, D), and space between adjacent fronts (B).
Face Frame set to Inset
Frame
Choose the face frame type, and set frame widths for unit (A, B, C, D, E) and module (F, G, H) edges and dividers. Set the thickness T of the face frame.
Fronts
Set offsets for the cabinet fronts (e.g. a gap between the face frame and drawer fronts, doors, etc.).
Face Frame set to Half Overlay
Frame
Set frame widths for unit (A, B, C, D, E) and module (F, G, H) edges. Set the thickness T of the face frame.
Fronts
Set offsets for the cabinet fronts (i.e. the overlap of drawer fronts, doors, etc. onto the face frame).
Face Frame set to Full Overlay
Frame
Set frame widths for unit (A, B, C, D, E) and module (F, G, H) edges. Set the thickness T of the face frame.
Fronts
Set the gap to be left around the cabinet fronts (drawer fronts, doors, etc.).
Carcass
Dimensions
In the left column, set:
- The thickness of all construction materials used to build the carcass.
- The offset of back wall from the carcass back.
Carcass Inset from Face Edge
In the right column, set the carcass inset from the face edges. This allows for design of a cabinet whose front must fill a space defined by walls and ceiling, while leaving some tolerance around the carcass for installation purposes.
End Panels
Set the Placement (Left End, Right End, Both Ends or None) and Type of panels to use for the cabinet ends.
Note the list of end panel Types is the same as that used for module fronts (doors, drawer fronts, etc.)
End panels can't be applied to the Ci Cabinet Polygon library-part.
Plinth & Legs
Choose the Plinth type and set plinth thickness and toe space.
If you choose Adjustable Legs, also set the leg dimensions here. Offset the legs from the unit ends (A), cabinet back (B), and front plinth (C). Note that legs are placed to each unit.
