4.3 Recipe Basics

This section walks through the process of using recipes using a very simple example – counting elements the recipe is attached to.

While this isn’t remotely challenging, it demonstrates the processes that are fundamental to even the most complex measurements.

It is assumed that at least one bill item has been defined for the purpose of this exercise. If not:

1. Open the Quantity Take-off Manager by clicking the menu item CI Tools > Quantities > Manage Quantity Take-off and click the Bill Structure tab.
2. Click the New button to create a bill item. Feel free to fill in a name, unit and rate for the bill item if desired.
