Double-click on the Object tool in the Archicad Toolbox, and browse the Coverings library to select the Cadimage Finial Designer object. You can use this object to design a custom Top Spindle or Bottom Spindle for use by the finial in the Ci Tools Roof Covering.
On the Post page, set the dimensions of the finial post. This is only used for visualization.
Design a Custom Top Spindle
Use the controls on the Top Spindle page to design a custom top spindle:

Set the Style to Custom Settings, and use the Components controls to add and remove components from the spindle, set the dimensions of each component, and move the components up or down.

Select a component from the list to edit its settings.

Click the + and - buttons to duplicate or remove the component.

Click the arrow buttons to move the component up or down.

Click on the Copy button to make a temporary copy of the top spindle.
Design a Custom Bottom Spindle
On the Bottom Spindle page, define a custom bottom spindle:

Use the list to select a component.

Use the + button to duplicate the component, or the - button to remove the component.

Use the arrow buttons to move the component up or down.

Click on the Copy button to make a temporary copy of the bottom spindle.
Use the Custom Top and Bottom Spindles
To apply the custom top and bottom spindles to a roof covering:
- Design the top and bottom spindles as above, and click the Copy button for each to make a temporary copy.
- In the Ci Tools Roof Covering object, choose Custom for the top and bottom spindles, and click the Paste button to paste the settings you stored in the previous step.
