When loading a project from an Older Archicad version in Archicad 29, you need to ensure that you are loading the correct libraries to Match it
This document covers 2 scenarios - Opening a v28 project in v29, and opening a v27 or older project in v29
Loading an Archicad 28 project in Archicad 29
Since Archicad 28 used Library Packages as well, we just need to swap the v28 libpacks for v29 ones
To do this, open your Library Manager and Remove the Ci Tools Library Packages you have there:
And then hit Add... and add in all the new libpacks from Archicad 29 - they can be found in your Archicad 29 folder inside the "Ci Tools Library Packages" folder
It should look like this:
The just hit OK, and you're done
Loading an Archicad 27 or older project in Archicad 29
When loading projects from before the new Library Packages existed, you will need to use the Monolith Migration library.
So first, download and install that from here on MyCi, or here (just make sure you get the Monolith Migration Library, specifically)
Once you have that installed, it can be found in your Graphisoft folder as Monolith Migration Library
Now, open up the Archicad project you want to migrate in Archicad 29. While you are opening it, it will ask if you want to Migrate the Library - click Yes on this, and it will automatically find and use your just-installed library.
If you didn't see that question, or hit the wrong button on it, you can do it later by opening the Library manager and hitting this button:
Next, we need to load the Ci Tools migration libraries too. To do that, open your Library Manager, hit the Add button on the bottom left, and then select the "Ci Tools Monolith Migration Library" inside your Archicad 29 folder, and then hit Open
Then just press OK on the Library Manager, and you're all done!
