Hyperlinks is one of Solibri's functionalities that allows a great organisation and documentation method. Hyperlinks can be added for individual elements, for component groups or even for an entire model. A great way of working with Hyperlinks is using the Hyperlink Manager, which will allow the user a better overview of everything linked in the Project.
Entire Model Hyperlink
To add a Hyperlink to the entire model, open the Hyperlink Manager:
Then use the dialog that will pop up to click on New Hyperlink and insert the information:
Relative – Stores hyperlinks relative to the folder of the saved SMC model. So, the files must remain in the same location (or be moved with the SMC model). |
Absolute – Stores hyperlinks in a location as specified, regardless of the SMC model location. |
As you add your Hyperlinks into your model, they will start to pop up in the Manager, this way you can keep track of the data:
Components Hyperlink
You can also add Hyperlinks to specific components of your Project or a Group of Components. See the example below:
To associate Hyperlinks to a group of components:
Any hyperlinks incorporated into the model will be visible within the Hyperlink Manager. This tool enables users to access links connected to specific components or groups, as well as those linked to the entire model.
These combined features result in an exceptionally user-friendly Hyperlink tool accessible from either individually selected components or a designated Hyperlink interface. This capability streamlines the creation, administration, and arrangement of documents and websites pertinent to any modeling project.
